In a previous post, I wrote why you should wait until Apple releases its own Apple silicon Macs.
Well, the wait is finally over. Even though some speculated that the Apple event is going to be on November 17th, and Apple will send invitations on November 10th.
But Apple has announced that the event will be on November 10th. That means we will get to see the new Apple silicon MacBooks on November 10th.
As Apple announced previously, they will most likely release separate intel powered MacBooks for another two years, and we might very well see the new Intel-powered MacBooks on November 10th as well.
It will be interesting to see how the Apple silicon MacBooks are going to be different when compared with the intel powered MacBooks. Will they perform better or similar to Intel Macs? Will they produce less heat and more thinner?
Another reason that I forgot to mention in my previous post, why Apple switched to their own silicon is because Intel sometimes delays releasing their newest generation of processors, which caused Apple to ship their latest MacBooks with previous year’s Intel processors. After all, Apple didn’t get enough time to design a Mac that supports the newest processor by the end of the year.
However, Apple has been releasing its own silicon every year for their iPhones without any delays, and since now Apple control their processors, they have more control and they will be able to release a new MacBook every year.
Another interesting fact is that this year Apple is going to have 3 separate virtual events, one in September for the Apple Watch Series 6, another one in October for their new iPhone 12, and the November event for the new MacBooks.
What will release alongside the MacBook?
Also, another thing to watch for is what is the second product that Apple is going to release alongside the Macs? Even though I thought it is going to be the AirPod Studios, some new rumors have suggested delays in production and the new AirPod studios will be releasing in March 2021.
However, Apple can still surprise us with AirPod Studios on November 10th. Any guesses on what you think we will be seeing next week other than the Apple Macs?
